Amazon to add fourth fulfillment center in the Phoenix area

Online retailer Amazon.com plans to open a 1.2 million-square-foot fulfillment center in Phoenix that will create hundreds of full-time and seasonal jobs.

Amazon currently employs about 3,000 people in metro Phoenix and has 4 million square feet of space across the region. The additional facility would add hundreds of employees, officials said.

“I love moments like this, it’s an investment celebration,” said Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer. “Arizona is advancing its competitive position in the global economy.”

This is big news!  And offer great upside for Real Estate.
